The A.V. Parekh Technical institute, Rajkot has been one of the oldest Government institutions imparting quality technical education since 1948. At present Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Control, Bio-Medical, Electrical, Computer and Computer aided costume design & Dress making courses are being run, with the total intake capacity of 870 students. All the departments have well-qualified and dedicated faculties and well-equipped laboratories. We impart quality engineering education through sound theoretical knowledge, hands on practices, computational skills, with an amalgamation of exposure to recent technologies through Industrial Visits and Expert Lectures.
We provide ample platforms to the students for enabling them to participate in various Technical, Spiritual, Sports, Social Welfare and cultural activities/events. I feel privileged to state that, having imbibed ethical values along with technical education our “Team Kartavya” (comprising of 300 plus students) has bagged i-SCALE 2016 Award from Gujarat Technological University for the best social welfare contributors in the state.
The placement cell of this institute is marshalling optimum resources to dish out job opportunities to the students at the institute campus. The dedicated team conducts pre-placement trainings for the students mentoring them for technical, personality development skills, aptitude tests, entrepreneurship facets etc., for enabling them to easily grab the job opportunities at their door step. The value aided innovative programmes in various facets have significantly improved job prospectus and the institute has become an apple in the eyes of multi-national companies.
The several members of Alumni association of this institute are now, big-wigs, holding key positions in Government, Semi-Government and Non-Government organizations in India and abroad. The association of the alumni actively supports the institute by donating books, awarding scholarships, medals and other solicited assistances. The Alumni association is instrumental in overall development and welfare of the institute.

All the technical and non-technical activities have been guided meticulously by the various committees and statutory bodies / associations. I wish to record deep sense of gratitude for their untiring efforts and whole hearted cooperation , making the institute, unique not only in India but also abroad.
